There are many types of T8 LED tubes in the market. Some claimed higher lumens by using higher CCT of greater than 6000K and lower CRI. Some uses less than 70 pcs LED and drive at high current. Some remove aluminum heat sink to reduce cost. The nearest location to measure LED temperature is at solder lead and not the surface of the plastic tube. < 20% of the power going into LED is converted to Light. 80% remains as heat. For every 10 deg rise in temperature, the LED life is reduced by half. The implication is faster light decay and shorter lifetime. LM80 leds may not guarantee low light decay due to poor thermal management.
