ASE also helped sponsor and install LED lights in common areas for those residents living in the affected zone which had suffered significant damages. LED lights consume less electricity and offer the residents a well-lit and safer environment at night.
The ASE Foundation has donated NTD15 million (USD500,000) and 860 LED handheld torchlights in aid of the disaster recovery efforts. Our employees from Kaohsiung, Chung Li, Nantou as well as overseas have also volunteered personal donations to help those who have lost their loved ones and their homes.

With LED lighting now becoming increasingly cost-effective, we are now planning to replace traditional lighting with LED lighting where costs permit in order to reduce the amount of electricity used for lighting purposes.
