Not all T8 tubes are the same. The US independent testing shows 50% of LED tubes do not meet specs or as claimed. Most consumers have no capability to measure or monitor the light decay. The only way to produce cheaper T8 LED tubes is to reduce the Built-of-Material (BOM). The compromises are (a) Use less LED and drive harder (b) Use short lifetime components (c) eliminate aluminum, (d) sub-standard diffuser. These may affect Light Quality, Flickering, Poor Power Factor, High Total Harmonic Distortion, Faster Light decay over time, warped-tube, Non-LM 80 LEDs. Poor Light Quality affects Eye-sights.
